Our community thrives on the hands-on participation of our members and volunteers.

The Chevra Mishnayes Volunteer Interest Form is provided to engage congregants and community members in hands-on support for synagogue life.

Grounded in the principle that the shul community thrives on shared time, energy, and talent, the form collects volunteer preferences to effectively match individual skills with organizational needs.

Applicants provide their contact details, current membership status, and past shul involvement before selecting specific areas of interest across four primary categories: Ritual (prayer leading, Torah reading, Bimah assistance, ushering), Events (Kiddush prep, setup, youth programs, holiday planning), Outreach (visiting the sick, Shiva support, welcoming new families, marketing), and Board/Operations (committees, fundraising, building maintenance).

To ensure appropriate placement, volunteers also specify their general availability-ranging from weekday mornings and evenings to Shabbat or flexible timing-and highlight specialized qualifications, hobbies, or professional backgrounds such as graphic design, accounting, IT, photography, culinary arts, or handyman skills.
